Two Minutes of Hate needed

George Orwell showed us in 1984 how to come together as a people by sharing an enemy. I think Goldstein was the leader they all stood up and hated together for a full two minutes every day to anoint themselves in the emotions of hatred, so important for keeping a people together. We had Osama bin Laden and then switched smoothly to Saddam Hussein and then there was Jerry Sandusky and then the Rutgers coach for a while and last week we had that gay NBA basketball player who came out (what legitimate Republican DOESN'T hate a gay basketball player?) and two weeks ago the two Chechen bomber brothers, but let's face it, we've really been hurting for some long-lasting hatred for one enemy we can hate for a long time so we can all stay focused together on the common good. Yes, I know Hugo Chavez was good to hate for a while as he tried to move Chevron and Exxon out and his little brown worker people in, but now that he's dead, well, I'm open to ideas, but I'm just saying that we need a more long-term arrangement to better focus our hatred.

I'm not saying hatred is good, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying it really is nice when we can get that one person that we can all hate together at the same time because then we can really come together and stay focused on what we need to do together so we can all think alike and get along with each other.
