When Romney wins the election, he has big plans for the president's chief mode of travel - he is going to have Boeing replace the stationary windows in Air Force One with windows that roll down in case of fire. But he isn't going to stop there. The airplane is going to be modified to add a convertible roof.

As most of us have heard,  Romney's wife Ann's airplane caught on fire Friday (Sept. 21) because of an electrical malfunction. Romney astutely pointed out the next day:  "When you have a fire in an aircraft, there's no place to go, exactly, there's no — and you can't find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don't open. I don't know why they don't do that. It's a real problem. So it's very dangerous."

Of Romney's fleet of cars, several – including his prized Bentley which has its own elevator – are convertibles. Now the dems are bashing Romney for his statement about having windows open in airplanes. This criticism is misplaced and discounts aviation history.

The Wright Brothers' plane was a convertible.  Snoopy's Sopwith Camel was also a convertible.  If a topless airplane was good enough for them, then by golly the President of the United States should have one too.

So join me in telling the liberal media that Romney's statement is sound, based on proven history and science, just like his economic policies and his call for the end of Medicare.
