As C. Wad waded into the den of filthy hippies smoking marihuana, I was fondly recalling the genius of William Randolph Hearst. He wisely used the term "marihuana" when he set about demonizing cannabis, in order to use the dirty lexicon known to negroes and mexicans. That greasy foreign nomenclature helped stigmatize cannabis use for upstanding white folk.
Cannabis threatened all the big industrial concerns then and now. It can be used as a much cleaner fuel than oil and could replace all oil's toxic, plastic derivatives such as those now choking the Pacific Ocean. It is a much tougher material than cotton and it doesn't require all the awful pesticides that cotton does. It offers a better and safer buzz than alcohol. It can be grown, cross-bred and distilled into a better medicine than anything Big Pharma offers at 100 times the price. It is better for the soil and ridiculously cheap and easy to grow and cultivate (if you don't have to hide in your basement to do it).
So thank God Hearst and Mellon and DuPont and others were able to make it illegal and stabilize the world through corporate control of Big Oil, Big Pharma. I shudder to think of the profits Halliburton, Bell Helicopter, Ratheon, Monsanto and 50 other corporations would have lost if we had not been able to bring the corporatocracy together over a joint fight to demonize marihuana and build the monolith that runs the world. Selah!
